Day to Night Makeup Look

Hello there beautiful! It's been a while since I published something here on the blog. Forgive me since I tend to share more on Instagram. If you haven't followed me yet there, drop by and say hi @francesclaudine 😅 If you're already following me, I bet you already know how I love makeup. I'm more of that "natural-looking" and "no-makeup-makeup" kinda girl. I use makeup everyday not to impress others, but to feel good and look presentable. Since it is a necessity for me, I was so happy when Althea launched their own makeup line which is perfect for on-the-go girls since you can create a "day till night" look. This is what I came up with:

Day look: "Bitten-lip"

I used the Flawless Creamy Concealer to hide my dark under eye and pimple marks. It gives light to medium coverage so if you're a full-coverage type of girl you really need to build this up. One good thing about this concealer is the shade range - I find #03 Honey the perfect shade for girls like me who has yellow skin tone. I use #02 Ginger as a highlight base on the tops of my cheeks and my noseline. Formula is blendable and easy to work with, however the down side is I noticed that it does not stay the whole day. My office is air conditioned and the concealer still fades around afternoon, what more when I use it outside on a hot day. 😕

On the other hand, I can say the lip tints are my fave from the whole makeup line. 💖 The Watercolor Cream Tint is true to it's claims - a combination of a long-wearing tint and a hydrating gloss. It comes in four colors: plum cream - a rich, luxurious plum shade, perfect for a night out, strawberry cream - a juicy red reminiscent of freshly bitten strawberries, peach cream - a brightening, fresh coral with pink undertones to suit both warm and cool skin tone, and marron cream - an MLBB shade made from crowns and pinks for a chic, everyday look. The technique I used to achieve this "bitten-lip" look is to just apply the product on the insides of my lips, allow it to dry a little and then smudge it on the outer parts of my lips. The Watercolor Cream Tint is perfect for this look because of its creamy formula. 🙌

Night look: "Rose Gold Eyes"

Achieved this "Rose Gold Eye" look with the Sunrise and Moonrise Eye Palatte which is a collaboration with another Indonesian star - Bunga Citra Lestari. It has 8 shades that can be used for a daily makeup routine and then turn it to a glamorous night-out look. The shadows are pigmented and blends out like a dream. To get this look, I used the matte light brown as the base for my crease. Then I added the metallic rose gold with pink undertones all over my eyelids. To add definition, I blended it with the rich brown with gold shimmer eye shadow focusing the product on the outer parts of my crease. I applied the same colors on my under eye to make the look whole and made sure everything was blended well. Blending is key ladies..... 💁

To complete the look, I used the Spotlight Eye Glitter on the inner corners of my eyes to give that bright-more-open eye illusion. I was hesitant at first with the eye glitter but it's easy to blend and dries quickly - which is good because I do not want that too much glitter. It can also be used as an eyeliner since the applicator is thin.  This comes in two glam colors - Gold Light and Pink Light. What I used on this look is Gold Light. I must say I need to play more with the eye glitter since it looks promising as well. 👌
