Staycation: Avenue Plaza Hotel

Last August 30, a Bloggers Meetup was organized for us to experience the fancy life through an overnight stay at Avenue Plaza Hotel. The event was also the launching of the new set of culinary creations of Café Plazuela and the Afternoon Tea buffet. I will be sharing with you my experience during our stay and what makes Avenue Plaza Hotel the region's premiere boutique hotel.

In its eight years of operation, this four-star business boutique hotel has been the forefront of the hotel industry in Bicol. With the global standards for its facilities and customer service, Avenue Plaza Hotel has been recognized both locally and internationally.
I can personally attest to the quality of service they give to their guests. The staff will make sure that you'll have a great stay. They really make you feel like a VIP - always attending to your needs and greeting you with a warm smile. Everyone has been truly accommodating, we were welcomed with drinks and a personal note as we checked in our rooms.

Our room was carefully tidied up, giving me the urge to just stay there for the rest of the day snuggling on my sheets. As much as I wanted to do so, I can't coz we had activities lined up for us. We got to try the Afternoon Tea buffet by 3pm and the new menu of Café Plazuela for dinner - talk about eating all day and having a quick nap between meals. Ah, life....
Going back to our room, our Superior Twin Deluxe room is well-equipped with basically everything we need from entertainment to office stuff. Coffee and tea were also made available so there's no need to go down to the hotel's resto to ask for one.

Our beds were gloriously comfortable! The crisp white sheets were perfectly clean and the pillows were just so soft and fluffy. We were also treated for a whole body massage right after dinner. It was so relaxing that I actually had an undisrupted sleep that night - exactly what I needed!
Bathrobes, towels, slippers, and toiletries were also provided so we didn't worry about carrying our personal stuff during our stay. The toiletries surprisingly smell good and they actually bubble. I always have this impression about hotel bathroom essentials that they aren't usually scented and sudsy at all! Well they proved me wrong this time. Haha! In the morning, a staff would check on your room to ask if you ever need additional toiletries which I find really convenient.

The bathroom has a bathtub and a rain shower. I got to enjoy a late night dip in the tub - I just need to bend my legs a little since I'm too long for the tub size. LOL! I also love that the bathroom has a hairdryer! That's another item out of your luggage too!
The room also has a work desk which is perfect for the traveling businessmen. The carpeted floors and the thick curtains also add to the flawlessness of the room. A balcony is situated outside that we got to enjoy since it's connected to the other rooms of our Bicol Blogger friends. We actually room-hopped and enjoyed the sunset on our balcony before dinner.
Mornings at Avenue Plaza Hotel are as good as nights with them with their breakfast buffet served for the hotel guests and other customers as well. A sumptuous breakfast table will greet you (just look at that photo above) complete with cold cuts, fresh fruits and vegetables, and rice meals that will definitely give you a kickstart for the day!

The hotel also has additional facilities like their two level infinity pool and the Olympia gym. I didn't get to try the gym and sauna but I sure didn't miss the chance to have a morning swim in the pool. Of course, as you know I love the water (even if I can't swim) so that's not surprising that I choose the pool over the gym. Haha! Aside from these activities, there are a lot of things to do if you're planning to stay in Naga. Bicol offers a diversity of events and places of interest that visitors will definitely enjoy. Also, since the hotel is located at Magsaysay Avenue -- the lifestyle and leisure center of Naga -- a wide variety of dining establishments and specialty shops are just a short walk from Avenue Plaza Hotel. You'll definitely not run out of things to do!
In addition, the hotel also houses several function rooms and venues which are perfect for conventions, parties, and group meetings. If you'd ask me if I'd recommend Avenue Plaza Hotel, of course it's a YES! The luxurious and comfortable experience we had was just top-notch! You'll never regret your stay with the hotel's outstanding hospitality and international standards.
